Flash Drive Updates Page

Thank you for getting your Church Resource Toolkit.  We hope that it is serving you well and that you find the information on it to be very helpful.  This page is where all the updates for the Toolkit will be posted.  These updates are fairly simple to install and should be manageable by anyone.  They fix bugs in the system and add new content, so check back often to see if there are new updates.  The text on the home page of the TRBA website will show when the most recent update was made.

 

The Updates are being hosted on a free secular filehost website called MegaUpload at the moment.  Hopefully this is temporary, but we may not be able to find an alternative.  For now, the only real issue is that there are sometimes advertisements when a file is downloaded, and you have to wait 45 seconds before downloading.  As far as I have seen, the advertisements are always clean.  Just close them when they come up and ignore them, because sometimes they may hook you into a scam.  The 45 second wait is because we have a free account and is a necessary evil.  The reason we must use this filehost is because it is the most efficient means of storing files of this size.

 

Another thing to mention is that if you are running on Dial-Up, you will not be able to download some updates.  If this is the case, bring the Flash Drive to the Association and we will update it here for you.

 

If you come across any more issues or have any troubles with the Toolkit, don't hesitate to call (919) 496-7172.  Alternatively, there is a "Shoutbox" below where you may type your name and your problem, and it will be addressed as soon as we get to it.  If we're not available to help you, we'll get back with you as soon as possible.  It is probable that we won't be able to solve your problem over the phone, but at least we will know it's there and it will be fixed and included in the next update.  It is vital to the process of updating that you report any problems you run into, as we can't find all of them on our own.  Please check back on the website often as new updates for your Flash Drive will be made available with thorough instructions.

 

Download the most recent version (1.1) of the Toolkit in its entirety here: Part 1, Part 2. (Please download both parts and make sure they are in the same place on your computer.)  Make sure you insert an empty Flash Drive with a capacity of 2GB or more, and check for the drive letter assigned to it (i.e. drive E: or drive F:) so that you can ensure that it is being installed to the right place.
